 .: Mine Site

.: Bharinto Site Topographical Survey,Indonesia
Date : Dec 2004-Mar 2005
Location : Bharinto, Indonesia.
Summary :

Airborne laser topographical & digital imagery survey for a coal mine site of 24,700 ha in size in East and Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. The deliverables were DTM, DEM, 1 m contours, existing features and orthophotos.

.: Adong Site Topographical Survey, Indonesia
Date : Sept 2003
Location : Adong, Indonesia.
Summary :

Airborne laser topographical & digital imagery survey for a coal mine site of 31,438 ha in size in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The deliverables were DTM, DEM, 1 m contours, existing features and orthophotos.

.: Bontang Mine Site Survey (West Block)
Date : June 2000
Location : East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Summary :

A full DVG survey created 50m interval of profiling true ground spot heights for a densely forested 10,000 Ha site near to the equator. Total site survey was done in about 10 days and the final product was contour drawings of 2m intervals, which then was used for earthwork calculations. DVG result was randomly checked by client's survey parties over identified dense forested area and was commensurate with stated accuracy, which is not more than 1m. The result produced by GDS’s DVG survey was accepted and endorsed while results by aerial photogrammetry survey were erroneous by about 300%.

.: Bengalon River
Date : January to February 1997
Location : East Kalimantan , Indonesia
Summary :

GDS’s system flew over 3600 linear km to produce 21 1:5000 scale map sheets in 21 operational days. There were problems obtaining security clearance to fly in certain areas but GDS’s crews was able to react quickly to these changes and generated mission plans often at only hours notice. Additionally, GDS carried out a static GPS survey to help the client correct discrepancies in their existing survey control.

.: Petangis, Senakin and Satui Mines
Date : November 1996 to January 1997
Location : South Kalimantan, Indonesia
Summary :

Contour maps covering almost 10,000 ha were generated for three different mine sites in Kalimantan Indonesia . At one of the sites, digital images of buildings that had been picked up in a topographical survey carried out by the client were digitized from the video records and this allowed the data from the topographical survey to be overlaid on the contour maps generated with the system.

.: Conveyor Feasiblity Study - Minesite Survey
Date : January to April 1996
Location : Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Summary :

There were three main tasks assigned to GDS on this project:
1. Provide a static GPS survey that would relate the mining grid to the ID74 co-ordinate system.
2. Carry out a DVG HELIX survey of the proposed route for a conveyor system.
3. Carry out a DVG HELIX survey of the mine site and areas of intended expansion.

A total of 21 stations were observed in 13 days for the static GPS survey. The DVG survey of the conveyor corridor and mine site totaled 5100 km of profiling and was completed in 34 days of flying. All maps were produced on site and presented to the client before the job was demobilized.
