Teris to Federal Route 14. The corridor width is
1000 m. The project deliverables were DTM, DEM, 1 m
coutour, existing features and orthophoto mosaics. |

11 days flying were required to survey a 35 km road corridor from Pos Selim to Kampung Raja. The corridor varied in width from 1000 m to 1500 m. A total of 1386 km of ground profiles were collected. The terrain is very rugged in this area and a ground survey campaign had been underway for a year previous to the DVG survey. The ground survey teams were surveying a corridor only 150 m wide and had been unable to complete the corridor in a year of work.

centerline length of the road corridor was 115 km. Additionally, over 3200 video images were tied together and features visible within these images were digitized and overlaid terrain model.

A corridor survey of 195 km of proposed road stretching from Genting Highlands through Fraser Hill and north to Cameron Highlands was surveyed by GDS in 1992 and 1993. This survey was carried out using the Airborne Laser Terrain Profiling (ALTP) system, which was a predecessor to the present DVG HELIX system.
